Alien time travel for fun, and the enlightenment of humankind.

Planet Earth is visited by Kreton, a highly advanced citizen of the future who has traveled back in time intending to study the humans of the Civil War era. A glitch puts him smack in the post WWII Cold War. Gleefully, he decides to stay and make a hobby of manipulating human behavior, nudging us to the brink of a nice little global thermonuclear holocaust.
